“I started with Pitman Training in February/March after speaking to Amy Byrne. I have over 13 years’ experience in Health Care Support and working on and off in different Health Care settings as a Support Worker and Carer’s Assistant great opportunity for personal and professional growth!
As much as I have enjoyed working with special needs and the elderly, I thought it was time for me to leave that area behind and start something new. I decided this year I wanted to try something different and I have often worked in Reception volunteering and on CE Schemes.
Amy recommended the medical secretary course to me and after going through the course list and taking into account my options I wanted to follow through with the course. I have finished Microsoft Office and I am working my way through the course, which I highly recommend.
I am allowed to complete the course at my own pace which allows me to get other jobs done. The girls have been very helpful and understanding, they are very friendly and easy to go to when worried or needing that extra bit of help.

Our Training Centre
Our centre in Kerry is conveniently located at the Monavalley Business Park in Tralee and is easily accessible via a variety of transport options including bus or car, and it’s just a 15 minute walk from Tralee town centre.
Our training centre opened in 2004 is based in Tralee and is one of the largest in Ireland, serving Killarney, Castleisland, Listowel, Killorglin and the surrounding areas with state of the art facilities and comfortable training rooms.
The centre includes a student canteen and breakout area, as well as plenty of free car parking. We have designed our centre to provide you with a professional environment with the best space to focus and train in comfort without unnecessary distraction.

I have completed the IT Specialist – Software Development Diploma. I started in March 24’.
I enjoyed how flexible the course was, but that doesn’t mean there’s room for slack. Patience and hard work were still necessary to reach the end of each domain and two A4 copybooks full of handwritten notes! I still have a lot to learn in the field of programming and software development, but this course has deepened my interest and opened doors for potential career progression and further education. I would love to return to complete the Advanced Software Development Diploma.
